This hunting lease is leased and not available. Base Camp Leasing has a 219 acre hunting lease available for immediate lease in Otsego County, New York. This hunting lease is in WMU(4F) and is about 33 miles SE of Utica, New York. This hunting lease is loaded with deer sign. There are tracks, trails and deer droppings everywhere on this hunting lease. I saw over 20 deer on the property as well as a nice flock of turkeys on neighboring property. There are 136 acres on the east side of road and 83 acres on the west side. In addition, the west side borders over 1300 acres of state forest. The east side of the property is phenomenal deer country, it is a mix of scattered pine, brush, apple trees, hardwoods, hemlock/pine thickets, and nearby agriculture fields. There is a really nice access road on east border that follows a power line. This power line is a beautiful shooting lane (like 50 yards wide). In this area, I am use to some steep hills but this hunting lease has very nice gradual rolling terrain. The west side of property does get steep off property line. There are lots of apple and oak trees. I was not able to cross the stream as most of the snow melt had it flowing pretty good. Landowner stated it can be crossed in summer and fall. The access, terrain and deer sign make this property one of the best I have inspected. I have attached a buck and bear picture provided by the property caretaker. He got these on a cell cam and stated there was a twin to this buck in area. ATV use and camping are allowed for hunting purposes only. Property is posted. If you lease you will get a key to the gate for access on power line established trail. The landowner reserves the grouse and woodcock hunting rights. Sometime in the last 2 weeks of October the previous owner will spend a couple days grouse hunting, part of the deal current landowner made when bought when bought property. Great hunting lease, will go fast!
